SafeNet is a volunteer association of survivors that encourages understanding, compassion, reconciliation and healing for all who have been victimized by clerical sexual abuse.

While our focus is on survivors, parishes, communities and religious in the Franciscan Province of St. Barbara, we are available to all dioceses and religious orders.

We assist by listening and helping others to listen, coordinating and facilitating educational forums in safe environments, and offering resources for legal and psychological counseling.

We believe that transparency on the part of the Franciscans and the Catholic hierarchy is necessary for reconciliation and essential for healing on many levels. We embrace these efforts by offering a lively and variable source of information on our website.
